Symphony of the Americas “Summerfest” 2016

Tickets are on sale now for the Cultural Council of Indian River County’s  annual Summerfest Symphony Concert on Sunday, August 13 at 3 pm at Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church. The tickets are $35, are available at the Cultural Council Office, 2041 14th Avenue and on its website, www.cultural-council.org/summerfest.

AERIAL ANTICS YOUTH CIRCUS – FIRE & ICE

The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department is proud to present “Fire and Ice”, the 43rd Annual Aerial Antics Youth Circus on August 3, 4 and 5 at Saint Edwards Upper School beginning at 7 pm.  Performers range in age from 3 – 33 and are students of the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department’s gymnastics program and the Aerial Antics Summer Camp.  Audiences will be amazed at the talented youth that will perform incredible gymnastics, daring aerial and dynamic dance routines.  Advance tickets are available at Leisure Square (3705 16th Street) and Riverside Racquet Complex (350 Dahlia Lane).  Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for children and seniors.  Visit the website at www.covb.org or call 772-567-2144 for more information.

FIRST FRIDAY GALLERY STROLL THIS WEEK

The First Friday Gallery Stroll around and along 14th Avenue  in downtown Vero Beach will be held on Friday, August 4 from 5 to 8 pm.  Here’s a preview of the exhibits:  Gallery 14 presents Colors of Summer 2:  New Work and Familiar Favorites by owner/artists.   Artists Guild Gallery features new works by resident artists.  Main Street Vero Beach presents guest artist, Carolyn M. Shea Kleinpeter (at right) exhibiting paintings and photography.  Flametree Clay Art Gallery presents clay artists John Arrufo, Judi Nickelson, Judy Nye and Valerie Risher (at left).

RIVERSIDE DANCE FESTIVAL PRESENTS BALLET VERO BEACH

Ballet Vero Beach, in partnership with Riverside Theatre, is thrilled to present Ariel Rivka Dance in the company’s first ever visit to Vero Beach! Performances from this all female troupe will showcase the company’s unique storytelling and exceptionally structured contemporary dance works. Performances will include the company’s riveting narrative work The Book of Esther as well as other recent critically acclaimed work.  Performances will be on Friday August 4 at 8 pm and Saturday August 5 at 8 pm.  Tickets are $10-$75 and are available online at www.balletverobeach.org. HEALTHY COOKING FOR KIDS

Children will enjoy a “hands-on” experience in preparing a fun and healthy meal in a practical application of the Nutrition Detectives program at McKee Botanical Garden on Saturday, August 5 at 11 am.  Children will become certified “Nutrition Detectives” at the end of the session.  Cost: $35 Members/$40 Non-members.  Visit McKeeGarden.org.

TGR OFFERS DINNER & A SHOW ON SUNDAY
